DEFINITIONA short circuit is an abnormal connection between two nodes of an electric circuit intended to be at different voltages. The electrical current flow is limited only by the electrical resistance of the conductor itself. This results in the wrong function of the electrical circuit, excessive heating, and possibly destruction of the circuit. In the case of embroidered circuits, the short-circuit can be caused by the: (i) application of a large amount of conductive adhesive to contact pads, especially with a small isolation gap; (ii) wrong geometry of the pattern (distance of the parallel lines or contact pads less than 2 mm) and (iii) insufficient yarn trims between contact pads in the area of the isolation gap.
